Rental Policies:
Check-in & Check-out Times:
Check-in time begins at 4 p.m. Check out time is promptly at 10 a.m. Late departure may incur an extra half day rental charge. If the housekeeping staff arrives at 10:00 a.m. and has to leave only to return later to clean because of late departure, you will be charged a $25.00 trip charge for the housekeeper in addition to any late departure charges that may be assessed.
Advance Rent Deposit & Rent Balance:
*Advance Rent Deposit is required within 7 business days of the initial reservation.
*Rent deposit is 50% of the total rental fee ( excluding sales tax and security/damage deposit).
*Rent balance, including sales tax (11%) and security/damage deposit is due 15 business days before your arrival.
*The security/damage deposit for the St. Rita Carriage House is $250, the St. Rita Main House is $650, or $900 for both houses.
*There is a $15.00 charge per key not returned.
*A $50 charge if the garage door opener is not returned for the Carriage House only.
*Your security/damage deposit will be fully refunded by the same method of payment within 2 weeks of your departure, provided all rules and regulations were observed.
*Payment may be made by bank money order, cashier's check , traveler's check, or *personal check. *Personal checks will be accepted for the advance rent deposit, but will not be accepted for rent balance before check-in unless payment is made 30 days prior to rental date.
Family Only Rentals:
There will be no rentals to vacationing students or singles under 25, unless accompanied by an adult guardian or parent who remains in the unit for the entire stay. Reservations made under false pretenses may be subject to forfeiture of advance rental payments and/or security/damage deposit.
Cancellations/Refunds:
Reservation deposits will not be refunded unless the house is re-rented for the same rental payment and time period reserved. If refunded, there will be a $50.00 cancellation fee withheld. There are no refunds for late arrivals, early departures, or inclement weather conditions. In the event of a hurricane, refunds will be made if the event causes a mandatory evacuation by government authorities. Refunds will only be granted from the day of issuance of the mandatory evacuation.
Linens/Towels/supplies:
Although bed and bath linens are furnished, please bring your own beach towels and beach blankets, as linens are not to be removed from the unit. Any lost or damaged linens will be deducted from your security deposit. An initial supply of paper products, trash liners, bathroom tissue, and facial soap is provided. Extra items needed are the responsibility of the guest. Cleaning supplies are not provided. Rental rate includes a one-time linen and towel set-up and cleaning at departure. If the guest desires extra housekeeping services during their stay, this can be arranged for an additional fee.
Parking:
There is a 2-car garage that is available to the guests who rent the St. Rita Carriage House. Parking for the St. Rita Main House is available in the permitted areas along Round Road located next to the house. RMB does not allow parking of boats, jet skis, trailers, or RVs.
Telephones:
Carriage house has two telephones and the Main house has 5 telephones with free local calling. There is a block on all long distance calls. You can make a long distance call by using a credit calling card, cell phone or calling collect.
St. Rita House will not be held responsible for acts of theft or vandalism or other damages to the guest's personal property or items left in the house. Every effort will be made to return any items left, but we assume no responsibility for such items.
